Skanray bags emerging industries award

Mysore, Nov. 25, 2011 - Rotary Mysore Midtown has awarded the `Best Emerging Industry Award` to Skanray Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Managing Director Vishwaprasad Alva at a programme held at Rotary Centre, JLB Road here on Wednesday.

Presiding over the programme, former Mayor Vasu said Mysore has become the next destination after Bangalore for setting up industries. However, needed facilities are not being provided for the industries, he regretted.

He pointed out that lack of continuous power supply and shortage of raw materials have hit the industries very badly in the city.

Vasu, who felicitated Skanray MD Alva and CEO Balasubramanian with a shawl, garland and a memento, lauded Alva's achievements in a short span of four years after setting up the industry in the city amidst all odds.

Rotary Midtown President Rtn. S. Raghavendra presided over the ceremony in which Secretary R. Venkatesh, Director Kumaraswamy and others were present.
